You used to write and perform
as Joseph Ruddleston,

but have been
O Memorie since 2016.

You went by joerud in the online collaborative production company, HitRECord, where you collaborated with brilliant artists like Peppina, Metaphorest, and Johnny Clyde, who would become a long-time collaborator.

You started O Memorie to write music about dreams and memories, since they come from the same part of your brain, and that’s what music feels like to you, like the uncanny sensation of recalling a dream as if it were a memory and vice versa.

You were inspired by solitary bedroom folksingers like Daniel Johnston and Nick Drake, then went exploring, trying things out and discovering what your music was all about. You still are.

Your latest work, Atom Through A Thousand Suns, follows the journey of a single atom as it soars through the expanse of space for meaning, connection, and a new perspective.

The 9-track concept album recorded in New York City will be released on July 21st, mixing ambient electronic soundscapes with techno, jazz, video game music, and a hip-hop track featuring Brooklyn artist, Orrin.
